This is the super rare first pressing on the blue/silvery A.A. Records label from 1963 of it. It comes with one of the coolest record sleeves in history. The fantastic full color artwork on the frontcover has got the Frankenstein monster and Dracula standing next to each other, while the Wolfman, The Monster Of Piedras Blancas (or could it be the Creature From The Black Lagoon?,) and the Mummy are climbing up a pit, or crypt that has been set on fire! ULTRA RARE AND FANTASTIC TWIST LP FROM THE EARLY 60S! It includes some absolutely KILLER first rate Las Vegas Grind style tittyshakers, one killer sonic rnr guitar instrumental called Gitar Shake, some fantasic SHADOWS type of guitar instumentals (Red Shadows), some great twisting vocal cuts etc. Most of the cuts are far above the average. There are some real outstanding KILLER cuts for on this LP! It was their first and I think best LP. The first and BEST Swiss Rock n Roll LP ever made! Will Best, the owner of the Star label has been a famous Swiss composer from Bern. He has co-written most of the songs from this LP, and he probably plays on it too. The whereabouts of the 4 Camillos (aka Camillos) was not clear for a long time, but I’ve found out that the bandleader was called Camillo Cartolari, and that he was also releasing an album as Camillo Cartolari E I Suoi Ticinesi on the Star label (called Saluti Dal Ticino) which for me was the best traditional Swiss Laendler music LP ever made, and so the 4 Camillos were definitely a band from Ticino, Switzerland. Some of their EPs and 45s were also licensed for release in Belgium, Spain, and possibly some other countries too. It’s virtually impossible to find a copy of this first Swiss only LP on the private label of Will Best. I've paid 250.- for this copy myself about 15 years ago, but I was lucky to finally upgrade it with one still unplayed copy. This is my first extracopy of this LP in 30 years of collecting and dealing rare Swiss Beat records. This is even harder to find than the Sevens, and Sauterelles LPs! I’ve actually never seen a copy of it for sale. It never turns up at the Swiss record fairs. I don't think that I will be able to get another copy of this great Swiss Rock n Roll LP later. It should appeal perfectly to the Las Vegas Grind type of Belgium pop corn, titty shaker collectors. It should also appeal to the late 50s to early 60s twist, and rnr collectors too. This is one truly masterfully played LP.

Side 2 contains Oh Lonesome Me / I’ll Walk The Line / Life To Go / You Gotta Be My Baby (not available on the US Mercury LP) / Just One More. The linernotes are printed in three languages on the backcover (in French / English / German). I’ve never found another copy of it! I didn’t even know that George Jones was ever releasing an LP on the Varieton label! This LP was probably either made for the Swiss, or for the Swiss and the German market! Varieton was distributed and sometimes even pressed by the Swiss record club Ex Libris. The LP comes with the folling matrice number for Side One: SPS 1324-I-21, and SPS 1324-II-21 for Side Two. The frontcover shows two cowboy rangers on their horses in the desert.

Super rare original LP from around the late 50s including some fantastic guitar boogie, and rock and roll guitar boogie tracks by the classic French gipsy guitarist Marcel Bianchi. Tracks include Du Rock A La Lune, Ah C’Que Ca Rock Ici, Hurricane Guitare, Train Guitare, Bebe Guitare, Chandells Et Guitare, Cocotte Guitare, Foggy Guitare, Surprise Party Guitare, Beep Guitare, and Aloha Guitare. Tracks on this LP were recorded during the early - mid 50s (and originally released as 78s, 45s, EPs). This was the first and only LP release of it. The front cover has one two inch tear at the opening, plus about 2 inch seams split at the left cover bending. The record has one ugly looking scuff on the first two cuts (Coyotte Guitare, and Foggy Guitare) that is actually not very disturbing, the rest of the LP looks and plays nicely VG+! A bargain!

The backcover still has the Swiss Ex Libris ordering number/price sticker on the shrink, which makes it especially interesting for the Swiss collectors. A bargain!

This ultra rare Swiss-only club LP usually goes for at around 45.- to 85.- Swiss Franks in VG+ condition at Swiss record fairs, which is still fairily cheap considering the rarity of this Swiss Club LP, BUT you simply never find a perfect MINT copy like this for sale. I’ve found this LP along with a small stack of still unplayed Ex Libris Club LPs some years ago. It looks and is perfectly MINT! The thin cover is still M- too (=as new!) A bargain!
