Super rare German original pressing of the 2nd Otis Redding LP! This is quite an unusual LP. The record comes with the original German yellow/white/blue ATCO first pressing labels, with the release number of VOLT 411. It has the following matrice numbers scratched into the wax: 629894A VO-12171 The cover is one of the strangest pasted on covers that I’ve seen, it reminds me a bit of some of the record sleeves from South America. The frontcover of the pasted on cover was only glued (for about one half inch only) at the right cover opening, while the backcover was only glued at all the four sides. It was not glued in the center, which is a bit unusual. I have found this LP in Switzerland a long time ago. It looks like a super rare export LP to me. Ultra rare official Swiss-only original LP from March 1962 on the small Collectors label out of Basel! Only around 100 - 200 copies made, and virtually impossible to find! Tracks include: Sweet And Low Blues/Take Your Time/Michigander Blues/I Got The Stinger/Tanguay Blues/Aces Of Rhythm/Decatur Street Tutti/ Lina Blues/Crooning The Blues/Band Box Stomp/and Moanful Blues. It comes complete with original 12 page booklet inside! The booklet contains detailed english linernotes (and full Jabbo Smith discography) by Johnny Simmen, and was printed up by Jazz Publications from Basel in March 1962. Collectors records was owned by Jazz Publications, and Jazz Publications were part of the Hot Club in Basel. The record is scuffed from the booklet, but it still plays nicely! This debut LP on the Swiss Collectors label will be virtually impossible to refind. I’ve been selling records as a pro since 1980 (and was already collecting for years long before I’ve became a professional record salesman), but I’ve never seen another copy of it. sobc=a small sticker of some ancient record shop, or ancient distributor on the back of the thin flipback cover

In September 1967, Ronnie Walker had a top ten hit on both Philadelphia soul music AM radio stations WHAT and WDAS. The song was Really Really Love You which continues to get airplay today thanks to Jerry Blavat and Geator Gold Radio (AM 1060).
