This F-16C "Fighting Falcon" is an updated Block 30 machine, enabled to carry the Lantrin-Pod. It was the personal aircraft for Col. Brian Bade of the 175th Fighter Squadron / 114th Fighter Group with the South Dakota - Air National Guard (ANG). It is shown in the markings it sported in September 1991, while based on Joe Foss Field, Sioux Falls, S.D. |
| The kit's
origin is by Hasegawa (V004), dated 1988. It is a nice
kit in 1/48 scale with good detail, although I don't like
how Hasegawa is used to *not* include ordnance with their
kits. They are asking to buy their special weapons set .. I took the Cluster Bomb Units, Lantrin Pods, ANQ, AIM-120 etc. from other kits to save money on this. |
| The
Decals are from BareMetal (48-35), showing Col Bade's 40
missions flown during Operation "Desert Storm". The aircraft is named "Leader of the Pack" (sic!). |
I have more pictures of this model. Please go to the second Page of the F-16C. |
